I think very much like Twinwillow:  Himalayan pink salt is excellent.  That, and Malden, and Fleur de Sel, etc. are often used as "finishing" salt, rather than used in the cooking or baking process so...

That may be but how many people eat Kosher salt? With all those sardines, clams, lox, herring, pickled eggs you eat whats a little bit of iodine going to hurt??

Sea salt is no better, or worse than regular salt. My sil, who is a doctor, explained to me that as the grains are bigger then table salt, one tends to use less.Therefore it is, essentially ,...

I buy iodized sea salt. It's a taste thing only. I never use table salt...except when out to eat, but not at home. Nothing against it, just think sea salt has a better flavor and the price difference...

I've gotten Malden salt and Fleur de Sel off Amazon, but I also live in the SF Bay Area which has fancypants gourmet shops, so have found some interesting ones there.  Truffle salt is also tasty, btw.

Himalayan salt: http://www.google.com/sea...;ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8  I think Costco sells it now too. Trader Joe's sells it as well. Buy the crystals rather than the granulated and grind what you need....
